Well, that’s it. 2017 is a thing of the past. I still can’t actually believe how quickly the year flew by. I am so thankful for the opportunities 2017 brought me. This blog post combines my wedding and editorial photography highlights. I count myself very lucky to have worked with some of the industry’s best last year. I learnt valuable lessons along the way, pushed myself to catch moments on camera I knew would never happen again and traveled far and wide to capture beautifully styled wedding inspiration. Personally, 2017 was a challenging year, but I am forever grateful for photography and the happiness that comes with capturing weddings. Top 45 British Wedding Photographers to book:
In amongst the whirlwind that was 2017, I found a sense of calm and a strength I perhaps didn’t know I had. I have my wonderful husband to thank for supporting me unconditionally and encouraging me to be brave and shoot more ‘for me’. The beautiful editorial (styled shoot) images you see below, are some of my all time favourites. I invested in these shoots and worked with fantastic international wedding suppliers at incredible venues. More of the same in 2018 please!
I am also thankful for my couples who trusted me to capture the most important day of their lives, the way I saw it. Being a wedding photographer is a strangely nerve wracking but incredibly rewarding career. I am so glad I embarked on this journey nearly seven years ago. In 2017 my weddings took me all over the country – Somerset, Norfolk, Surrey, London, Cambridge, Liverpool and further abroad to Italy and the USA. This year I am looking forward to destination weddings in France at Chateau de Redon, Chateau La Durantie and Hotel Castell Emporda in Spain.
UK Natural Light Wedding and Editorial Photography:
I had the opportunity to capture weddings at beautiful wedding venues – Brympton House, Blickling Hall, Ravenswood Mansion, Dartmouth House, Sefton Park Palm House, The Bingham, The Blue Bird Chelsea and many more. It wasn’t until we got back to our hotel on New Years Eve after our last wedding of the year in Liverpool, that I realised how incredible 2017 was. It has taken me a while to put this blog post together, but I hope you enjoy my highlights. Make yourself a cup of tea or coffee and take your time!
An enormous thank you to my husband Wayne, who is the best second shooter I could ever ask for!
