When Victoria & Marin booked me to be their Castell d’Emporda Wedding Photographer, I was over the moon. Having shot a bridal editorial at Castell d’Empordà a few years ago, I was excited to capture a real wedding at this gorgous 14th century castle in the Empordà region, halfway between Barcelona and the French border. Joined by family and friends from all over the world, Victoria & Marin’s stylish wedding day was everything you dream of when getting married on the hills of the Costa Brava. Good food & wine, beautiful weather and a venue where you can party the night away with your wedding guests. What more could you ask for?

Castell d’Empordà Wedding Photographer:

Bridal preparations took place in one of the castle suites, while guests lounged by the pools after a spot of lunch. San Pere church of Ullastret was the location for their beautiful wedding ceremony. Afterwards, Victoria & Marin led the way back to Castell d’Empordà where they enjoyed sunset cocktails & canapes with their guests, overlooking La Bisbal. We made the most of the beautiful light right before sunset for their couple photos, surrounded by olive trees. I loved how relaxed the day was and the wedding speeches, gave a real sense of how much this lovely couple mean to their friends and family.

Costa Brava Destination Wedding Photography:

I loved shooting my second wedding in the Emporda region, the venues in this area are rustic and the landscape is a photographer’s dream. This wedding reminded me yet again, how much I love capturing destination wedding weekends. Why have one celebration when you can celebrate with your guests for an entire weekend? The Costa Brava, in particular Begur, has become one of my favourite destinations and I look forward to capturing more weddings at Castell d’Empordà and other venues in Catalonia.
