Anna & Howard chose Norfolk as the setting for their big day and I’m so happy they chose me to be their Blickling Hall wedding photographer. Blickling Hall forms part of Blicking Estate – a National Trust property in the heart of Norfolk, boasting gorgeous landscaped gardens, walking trails and so much more. Their ceremony took place in the beautiful Orangery, filled with citrus trees.
A little bit about Anna & Howard:
Anna & Howard met in Clapham, London in 2011 and have been on an amazing journey ever since! They both love travelling and incorporated this into the table styling at the wedding. Anna takes the most beautiful photos while travelling (follow her Instagram account here). Both of them love dining out, classical music and jazz, so good food and music played an important role at their wedding. If they’re not at home in London, they’re normally on holiday somewhere!
I spent the morning with Anna at The Assembly House, where she got ready. During bridal preparations I delivered a handwritten note from Anna, to Howard. Capturing the moment when he read her note was so incredibly special!
Anna’s wedding gown was out of this world. She chose Ava by Divine Atelier and it complemented her petite figure perfectly. Matched with a soft pink Peony bouquet, her bridal style was effortlessly elegant and somewhat ethereal…just like Anna.
A gorgeous Blickling Hall wedding celebration:
Anna arrived at Blickling Hall in style, in a powder blue 1964 Hillman Super Minx Convertible. The walk from the mansion to the ceremony in the Orangery was quite emotional! Thankfully, Anna had her best woman, Betty, by her side to keep her calm. They shared a few wonderful moments together before she walked down the aisle with Howard. The beautiful ceremony ended with Anna & Howard taking their first steps as husband and wife in a cloud of confetti, before leading their guests back down to the mansion for cocktails & canapes in the gardens.
The wedding reception took place at The Assembly House, where Anna had decorated the Grand Hall with tones of blush and gold, an abundance of Peonies (her favourite flowers) and table names which included some of their favourite holiday destinations.
Sunset portraits:
After the meal, we sneaked out for a few sunset portraits, before I left Anna & Howard to party the night away with their guests.
What a day! Anna & Howard, thank you for trusting me to capture your wonderful wedding day. I’m a little bit sad it’s all over, but please stay in touch!
Here are a few of my favourites from the day.
Enjoy!
