When Nasma told me that her Summer wedding would be a feast of colour with an abundance of flowers and that it would incorporate her little dog Gizmo, I was instantly intrigued! Seeing her vision come to life last July, was truly incredible and as their Kew Gardens wedding photographer, I had a wonderful time capturing all the pretty details! I have photographed many styles of weddings over the years, but Nasma & John’s wedding was by far the most bold & colourful that I have ever seen.
A bold & brave wedding theme:
The common thread throughout this bold wedding theme, was Nasma’s love of flowers and Gizmo, their Lhasa Apso pooch. The beautiful wedding stationery by Eagle Eyed Bride was floral inspired and echoed the colours used by Enchanted by Syma and her team in the floral design on the day. Gizmo couldn’t make the wedding but he was there in spirit with Canine table names and a wedding post box in the shape of a dog kennel, with a dog made of flowers sitting outside on the grass with a cute white picket fence. Just wow! Nasma even had two signature cocktails named after Gizmo – a Lhasa Martini and Gizmopolitan.
Their wedding incorporated everything they love, including good food & music and their wedding cake by Jemz Cake Box was a show-stopping 6-feet tall, adorned with handmade sugar flowers.
A show-stopping wedding dress:
Nasma chose a breath-taking lace gown by Galia Lahav at Brown’s Bride which showed off her figure beautifully and with hair & make up by Rebecca Frances, she looked absolutely stunning. We made the most of the beautiful Botanic Gardens at Kew for their couple portraits before they rejoined their guests in the Orangery for their scrumptious wedding breakfast.
This was such a fun wedding day – a special thank you to my wonderful second photographer Wayne and thank you to You & Your Wedding Magazine for the gorgeous feature on Nasma & John’s wedding in the current issue of the magazine.
Here are some of my favourites from the day.
