Last year, I traveled to France twice to photograph gorgeous destination weddings. Today’s real wedding mood board comes from Keri & Mark’s elegant black tie wedding at Chateau Les Crostes in Lorgues, Provence.
The day itself was relaxed and planned around enjoying as much of the glorious French summer weather as possible. The outdoor ceremony was held beneath the trees and guests enjoyed canapes and local champagne on the chateau terrace before being invited to the al fresco wedding meal with the glowing sunset as backdrop. It doesn’t get anymore dreamy than this! Amazing weather is one of the main attractions of having a destination wedding in France and Keri & Mark was blessed with a perfect day.
The styling for their chateau wedding was very much inspired by the grand setting. Keri’s bespoke Suzanne Neville dress would have been at home on the red carpet and Mark in his tux looked every bit the dashing groom. Their colour scheme incorporated whites and fresh greens, using orchids and arum lilies on the tables, with glassware reflecting the late afternoon sun. Once the sun had set, hundreds of candles created a magical ambiance with the chateau beautifully lit in the background.
