Tuscany destination wedding inspiration at Borgo Pignano.
If you’re planning to get married in Italy, this Tuscany destination wedding inspiration at Borgo Pignano blog post is just for you! As well as capturing this gorgeous editorial, I also had the pleasure of staying at Borgo Pignano – a charming private estate near Volterra and San Gimignano. I can honestly say, it is a dream location for a Tuscan destination wedding and I hope to be back here very soon! This editorial was featured on Destination I Do and Wedding Wonderland – great resources for planning your destination wedding.
Styling ideas for a destination wedding in Tuscany:
Charlotte from La Fete styled & coordinated this editorial to perfection. She chose Borgo Pignano as the venue for our romantic Tuscan wedding story, because of its rich history and the fact that it boasts some of the best views of Tuscany. From Charlotte: “Tuscany is undoubtedly one of the most popular places to get married in Europe, and with good reason: filled with endless historic homes, picturesque villages and fantastic food, these are just a few reasons why couples fly here every year to tie the knot. We wanted to create an intimate wedding story, inspired by Italian heritage, colors and aesthetics, but with a contemporary and unique vision. And of course, plenty of romantic touches.”
Floral design and styling ideas for your intimate wedding in Tuscany:
Black-tie weddings are increasingly popular so our groom Filippo chose a tuxedo for his wedding day attire, while our bride Giada looked stunning in not one, but two Spanish designed gowns by Cayetana Ferrer. From Charlotte: “The designs perfectly embodied the spirit we wanted to portray – romantic, classic and just a little quirky.” Tuscany Flowers created gorgeous floral design to tell the romantic story of our couple’s day. The focused on blush, cream and mauve flowers, with an abundance of foliage elegantly blended amongst the blooms. In keeping with the 2022 wedding trend of floral arches at weddings, Tuscan Flowers created a show-stopper asymmetrical arch around the church door, which looked as if it had grown naturally that way. This made for a great backdrop for couple portraits.
An intimate wedding celebration at Borgo Pignano in Tuscany:
The intimate outdoor wedding dinner was one of my favourite parts of this editorial. From Charlotte: “Set up in one of the most magical corners of Borgo Pignano and with a breath-taking view of the Tuscan hills, our table was as special as we hoped it would be.” The rustic farmhouse table contrasted beautifully with embellished details such as mismatched silver cutlery & gold candleholders. This created a look that was both relaxed and sophisticated – laidback luxury in Tuscany at its best!
As always I really enjoyed capturing the detail of the day, such as the custom watercolored stationery by De Winton Paper Co, a classic convertible Morris Minor (adorned to perfection by Tuscany Flowers) and a tiered cake with filigree design complete with pink and white hand crafted sugar flowers by Tuscan Wedding Cakes.
