This year has been one big adventure. I shot weddings in some of the most beautiful locations in the world and met so many wonderful couples. I was reminded yet again why I love being a wedding & portrait photographer and I’m excited to see what 2016 will hold.
Costa Brava luxury wedding photographer:
December is the time of year when you start looking back at the past 11 months, and it’s also the time of year when us photographers catch up on blogging! I had a very busy Autumn this year, which meant less time for blogging but it also means that I now have a bunch of gorgeous wedding, lifestyle and portrait shoots I will be sharing on the blog throughout winter.
Today’s elegant post-wedding shoot took place on the Costa Brava in Spain. Monica & Marc, two of the warmest and most easy-going couples I’ve ever worked with, live in Barcelona (check out their El Born engagement shoot here) and tied the knot at Jardins Emporda botanical garden in Girona. As a Costa Brava luxury wedding photographer, their wedding was a feast for my eyes, featuring that 100 seat al fresco dining table (click here if you’d like to see it) and I had a fabulous time capturing the day for them.
The day after the wedding we made our way to the ocean, to do a post-wedding shoot for them. I love the concept of doing a shoot a day or so after the wedding, in a location that’s completely different to the location where you tie the knot. I know a lot of brides who would love to wear their wedding dress again and a post-wedding shoot is the perfect opportunity to do just that!
We chose Camino de Ronda in S’Agaro, Girona – the perfect spot for a stroll along the gorgeous Balearic sea. The setting was completely different to their botanical garden wedding and I loved the simple beauty of it and how quiet it was. A big thank you to my wonderful hubby for once again being my bag carrier and awesome travel buddy.
Here are a few of my favourites from the shoot.
Enjoy.
