This gorgeous bridal editorial was shot in Ravello on the Amalfi Coast. As a Hotel Caruso Ravello wedding photographer, I was excited to shoot in one of the most sought-after wedding venues in Italy. The beautiful gardens at Hotel Caruso overlooking Amalfi, was the perfect setting to create this soft and ethereal wedding day story.
Hotel Caruso Ravello wedding photographer:
If you are planning an intimate wedding on the Amalfi Coast, embrace the settings around you for your bridal portraits. Hotel Caruso has gorgeous gardens and stunning views over the ocean.
Stylist Joy Proctor shares her vision for this editorial:
This Sweet Spring bridal editorial was inspired by the juxtaposition of the delicate spring blooms and the aged patina of the historic Italian churches. I chose a color palette that reflected that look – ochre, cream and hints of blush pink. The beautiful calligraphy was done on tea stained cotton paper, and mimicked the aged look of the church exterior. I chose an intricate stoneware plate, set atop La Tavola Linens Tuscany Mud tablecloth, which was another sweet homage to the historic location. The bride wore a beautiful gown by Jesper Hovering, which was the perfect combination of classic sophistication and feminine chic. The intricate veil by Jannie Baltzer was the most important piece of the bridal look, which added a staple of the traditional bridal look, in a modern and fashionable way.
