If you missed Grace & Declan’s gorgeous destination wedding in Malta, make sure you check out the blog post here. Today, it’s all about their post-wedding shoot which took place in Gozo – a gorgeous island and a must visit if you travel to Malta. As a specialist in Malta luxury wedding photography, this was my second trip to Gozo and it was even more beautiful than I remembered. With it’s dusty roads, prickly pears and amazing salt pans, as well as some of the most beautiful golden sand beaches in the world, Gozo is a bit of a hidden gem!
Two days after Grace & Declan’s wedding in Malta, we jumped on the Gozo ferry to do their post-wedding shoot. We tried to shoot as late as possible in the afternoon, to try and avoid the heat, but we only had a few hours of light to make the most of the different sights dotted around the island.
We started at the Azure Window with beautiful views over the ocean and then made our way to a gorgeous nearby beach for some photos. For sunset we drove to the north coast of Gozo to the Xwejni Salt Pans which are still used today for the collection of sea salt. It was pretty magical watching the sun set over the ocean, casting a golden glow over the salt pans…and being able to photograph a couple in this wonderful location was truly special.
Here are a few of my favourite images from our afternoon in Gozo and a big thanks to hubby for the two behind the scenes photos of me.
Grace & Declan, thanks again for inviting me on your Malta & Gozo adventure.
Enjoy the post!
Thanks hubby for the above shot of me in action! The photo I was taking is below :-)
And another shot of me, looking like I’m about to fall into the ocean! ;-)
