Leah & James tied the knot at St James’ in Shere – one of my favorite picture postcard villages in Surrey (click here to see more of Shere). I had been looking forward to the wedding for some time, as Leah was one of the bridesmaids at Vic & Tim’s wedding which I shot at The Olde Bell in Hurley back in 2012. It was lovely seeing Vic & Tim again and many wedding guests who I’d photographed in Summer 2012.
Leah & James are a laid back and very stylish couple and their style translated into the day beautifully. Leah looked gorgeous in Eden by Jenny Packham and her Choos. James rocked his tailor made Reiss suit, blush socks and cool cuff-links. Their wedding reception was held at Gate Street Barn in Bramley – the perfect location for a relaxed country wedding in Surrey. Needless to say we were in amazing hands with the team at Gate Street and Lara at Kalm Kitchen in charge of catering and amazing canapes (read more about Kalm Kitchen here).
Julia from Parsley & Rose decorated the barn to perfection with lots of floral pretty and once the candles were lit on the tables, it looked even more magical. I loved the ‘hot off the press’ inspired table names such as Family Circle (the head table), Financial Times, PR Week (Leah works in Beauty PR) The Happy Hour Herald, Woking News & Mail and other magazine covers, all designed by James and incorporating photos of each of the guests sitting at the table! And of course, Fentiman’s Rose Lemonade as wedding favours fit the colour scheme perfectly and celebrated Mr & Mrs Fentiman’s newlywed status.
Leah & James, thank you so much for having me at your wedding day. I wish you both all the love & happiness in the world.
