Liz & Alex celebrated their June wedding at The Master Builder’s Hotel in the heart of the New Forest, overlooking the Beaulieu River. This little gem, hidden away in Buckler’s Hard village, is one of Liz & Alex’s favourite weekend spots and so they decided to book it for their wedding ceremony & reception. I met Liz, Alex and little Sam a few month’s before the wedding and loved the fact that they were planning a low key day with family & close friends to celebrate their love for each other and for Sam, who did a sterling job as ring bearer! The setting was very relaxed and the Riverview Restaurant with it’s elegant nautical inspired interior was perfect for Liz & Alex’s ceremony & reception. We made the most of the fact that we were in the New Forest and went in search of wild horses during their couple portraits. Thankfully there were a few wild horses nearby, just waiting to be ‘extras’ in the photos!
The wedding breakfast was filled with hilarious speeches and a really sweet surprise for the guests – Liz & Sam’s ‘first dance’. Alex joined in after a while and Sam loved all the attention before his bedtime! Liz & Alex, I really enjoyed capturing your wonderfully intimate wedding day. Thank you for inviting me to share this very special family event, enjoy your photos Mr & Mrs Slade!
Flower girl Lily (aged 6) looked so pretty and could barely contain her excitement at being flower girl at her aunt’s wedding!
I love this photo of Liz dressing Sam in his little ring bearer’s outfit!
