Back in February Louise from b.loved asked me to join her for an overnight stay at The George in Rye – a beautiful jewel of a hotel in East Sussex. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty and I literally couldn’t stop photographing the exquisite interior and design details, carefully put together by the owners Katie & Alex. The George is a ‘must visit’ if you’re heading to Rye / Cambersands and it is also a great choice for a wedding venue if you’re looking for something with a lot of character, set in the heart of historic Rye, with a beautiful Georgian Ballroom which can seat up to 120 guests and 34 luxurious bedrooms to take over! Louise and I had a lovely walk around Rye, popping into the various interesting clothing, furniture & antique shops and then went on to enjoy a facial at The Rye Retreat, a short walk from The George. The rest of our evening was spent sipping yummy cocktails in The George Tap, followed by a lovely 3 course meal at The George Grill. Read Louise’s review on The George on her blog here and below are some of the photos I took during our stay. I have since been back to The George for a styled wedding shoot with Idyllic Days & Something Blue PR and I can’t wait to blog those photos.
A big thank you to Louise for inviting me along and to Karen – the very lovely Events Manager at The George for showing us around and making sure we were looked after!
