An exclusive wedding venue: The Oyster Box Boutique Hotel in Umhlanga Rocks,Natal.

During our visit to South Africa in December 2012, we celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary with a luncheon at The Oyster Box – gorgeous 5 star hotel & spa situated in Umhlange Rocks, Natal. It’s part of the Red Carnation Hotel Collection and as beautiful as its sister hotel – The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa in Cape Town, where Wayne & I tied the knot 3 years ago. We had a gorgeous lunch, followed by a little tour around The Oyster Box (thanks Malcolm!) – and of course I had my camera on hand to capture some of the beautiful interior decorating which, along with the seaside setting, make The Oyster Box a “must-visit” destination in South Africa.

It is also a fabulous wedding venue, with options to have your ceremony both indoors & outdoors and plenty of interesting spots (including that famous beautiful red & white lighthouse) for your couple portraits.
