I first met Megan & Olly when I did their engagement session in London 6 years ago. Two years later they booked me to be their Syon Park Wedding Photographer. Fast forward almost exactly three years after their wedding and we found ourselves in New York City at the same time. Meg & Olly now live in the Big Apple and I was visiting a friend so it was fate that we would be reunited for a wedding anniversary couple session. One of the most iconic backdrops for romantic city elopements and weddings, finally adding a New York City couple session to my portfolio, was a dream come true. Next up, I would love to be someone’s New York City Wedding Photographer…(hint, hint).

Meg & Olly are two very stylish people and when Meg showed me a photo of a Jenny Packham dress she was planning to wear to a gala soon, we immediately agreed that it would be perfect for a glamorous couple session on the streets of New York City. We met at The New York Public Library – a short walk from where they live near Bryant Park and attracted quite a bit of attention from passersby! As Meg & Olly crossed 5th Avenue with iconic yellow cabs in the background, I took what is now one of my favourite couple photos (below). It has a touch of old world charm to it, with that hustle and bustle New York City is famous for:
Iconic Brooklyn Bridge couples photography:
From 5th Avenue we jumped into a cab to make the epic cross city journey to Brooklyn Bridge for sunset. We made it just in time to catch the last golden rays with the New York skyline in the background. If you follow my work, you’ll know that light is EVERYTHING to me and there are few feelings as satisfying as capturing a subject in an iconic setting, bathed in ethereal light. New York City was good to us on that evening and I’m so glad we braved rush hour traffic to get to Brooklyn. Definitely worth it!
