Stacy & Jack tied the knot in August this year. I first met them via Skype when they told me all about their wedding day. With the help of family & friends they were planning a wonderfully relaxed celebration, filled with DIY touches, good music and good food. Stacy & Jack tried to keep their wedding as environmentally friendly as possible – from Stacy’s recycled wedding dress by Luxe Bridal (modifed by Erica Stacey), to the eco-friendly confetti and locally grown flowers. Their colour scheme was influenced by the fun Vivien of Holloway dresses the bridesmaids had chosen and the food, dancing & music was inspired by the Mediterranean as Stacy is half Greek Cypriot (plus they share a love of Mediterranean food!)
The ceremony took place at Stratford-upon-Avon Town Hall where after the happy couple jumped in their pink VW van and made their way to Alveston Pastures Farm for the wedding reception. The barn looked fantastic with a home made “Stacy & Jack” banner and embroidered table cloths welcoming guests to their big day. The locally grown, garden cut flowers & potted succulents added a rustic touch to the tables and I thought the dominoes & bubbles left for the guests to enjoy, was a really nice touch. The entire day was very relaxed and culminated in a traditional Cypriot money dance which I had been looking forward to the entire day! It started inside the barn where wedding guests pinned money onto the happy couple and then eventually spilled over into the garden, with Stacy & Jack leading the way in this wonderfully festive dance! This was hands down the best “first dance” I’ve ever photographed and as the sun set to the sounds of the very talented Moosootoo Greek Band, I said my goodbyes and left Mr & Mrs Wilkinson to enjoy the rest of the evening with their family & friends.
Stacy & Jack, I can’t thank you enough for choosing me to photograph your wonderful wedding day. I had so much fun with you and your guests and it was an honor being able to capture these wonderful memories for you!
A little note from Stacy & Jack:
Hi Anneli,
We want to say a MASSIVE thank you for our wedding photos. It was so important to us to have some really nice photo to remember the day by and you’ve far exceeded what we could have hoped for. They’re just lovely and, as people keep saying, they really capture the spirit of the day. I (Stacy) usually hate looking at photos of myself but I just can’t stop looking at these! I didn’t think I’d be the sort of bride who’d show my wedding photos to anyone who showed a vague interest in seeing them, but that’s what I’ve become because I’m so pleased with them and want to show them off :-)
It was a real pleasure having you there on the day. We really can’t thank you enough.
