During the crazy busy month that was August this year, I managed to sneak away to soak up some sun & the atmosphere in Milan & Lake Como with my mum. She was at a work conference in Milan and I didn’t need to think twice about meeting her there for the weekend! We strolled around Milan and from our hotel in the Brera district, Navigli was just a short metro journey away – perfect for sun downers & people watching on the Canals.
We made a day trip out of visiting Como which was only a 40 minute train journey from Milan city center Needless to say I fell in love with Como, with it’s beautiful cobbled streets, the gorgeous Lake Como, fabulous shopping. amazing gelato and 30 minute boat trips, taking your around the lake, pointing out houses that belong to celebrities (in Italian though – thankfully the name ‘George Clooney’ didn’t need any translation!). We also jumped on the Funicular which took us up the mountain to a little village called Brunate. The views of Lake Como at the summit was breathtaking and we thoroughly enjoyed it while sipping two cold beers!
Here are a few of my favourite photos and of course if anyone is getting married on Lake Como – I’d love to shoot a wedding here! ;-)

Gorgeous Como – home of Lake Como.
The view from the funicular (on the left) was amazing!
Love all the rooftop gardens in Milan.
