As I type up this post, baby Leon has already arrived, in fact, he is 2.5 weeks old today! Baby Leon arrived a little bit earlier than anticipated – not long after I spent the afternoon with Emily & Nico in their beautiful home in Ladbroke Grove, West London for their maternity session.

When Emily first contacted me, she said she wanted a maternity shoot that would be fresh, natural and beautiful…right up my street! I arrived at their home and together we took a wander through the house so I could see where the best light would be for the photos. I only work with natural light (where possible) – especially on maternity & portrait shoots as I find it to be the most flattering & soft – perfect for fresh, natural & beautiful portraits. Emily & Nico’s home have beautiful large windows in most of the rooms and we made the most of the fabulous bay window upstairs in the study. With Emily’s background in design & fashion (she designs beautiful lingerie – check out her company In Bloom London’s website here) she had a few simple yet elegant outfits planned for the shoot, and she looked radiant! Nico complemented his wife perfectly, and I just adore how lovingly he’s looking at his wife & mother of his (future) little boy in the photos.

Emily & Nico, thanks again for inviting me into your home and spending time with me during one of the most incredible times of your life. I look forward to meeting baby Leon sometime!
