Claire and Andre tied the knot at the end of October at Wasing Park – which won the award for the best wedding venue at The Perfect Wedding Awards 2011. This was my first wedding at Wasing Park and I must say, I loved it! The venue has so much to offer – their own parish church on the grounds, a gorgeous barn where the reception is held and so many spots for amazing photos! Claire & Andre wanted to make the most of the venue and the grounds for their couple photos and we most definitely did!
Back in May this year when we did Claire & Andre’s Engagement Shoot in Richmond Park, Claire told me that they wanted their wedding to be “rustic, relaxed, and a bit glam in places” and that’s exactly what it was! I can honestly say that I will never get tired of listening to my couples talking about their creative wedding ideas and how excited they are about becoming husband and wife! It’s such a blessing to be a part of their lives!
Surrounded by their friends and family, Claire & Andre became Mr & Mrs Vernon and I had an absolute blast sharing the day with them. Claire & Andre made Wasing Park their own – Claire’s dad lovingly handcrafted a wedding postbox (which has been in the family for a while) and a wish tree so their guests could leave little messages for them and also ‘post’ wedding cards in the wedding post box. A very nice touch! I also really enjoyed seeing their Engagement Shoot photos hanging from little pieces of string in the Castle Barn where the reception was held. A big shout out to Heline who second shot this wedding with me. A big thank you to the staff at Wasing Park who looked after us and to Galloping Gourmet for the fantastic food!
Here are a few of my favourite photos from Claire & Andre’s fantastic wedding day. Congratulations again Mr & Mrs Vernon and thank you for making us feel so at home!
Ps. In case you were wondering – Claire’s eyes really are that blue!
