I have been wanting to do a 1950s inspired “rockstar”, bridal shoot in Camden Town, since the start of the year and it all finally came together on the last Sunday in March…the really sunny one! I want to kick off this post, by thanking everyone who helped make this shoot a reality. Before my very eyes, with the help & inspiration of a few very talented individuals, it went from an idea in my head, to an amazing “all singing all dancing” spectacle in Camden Town!
BIG THANKS to:
My gorgeous model, co-stylist, fashionista and amazing wedding blogger: Adelle Frejus from Peonies & Pearls. Adelle you make a breath-taking 1950s bride. Thank you for collaborating with me on this shoot and running around Camden Town in heels!
Our fairy godmother and guru in the field of vintage wedding dresses – the very talented Elizabeth Avey from Elizabeth Avey Vintage Wedding Dresses. Without your gorgeous original 1950s wedding dresses, there would have been no shoot and our 1950s Cinderella would have had to stay at home! Thank you so much for your generosity in letting us use some of your amazing pieces and congratulations on being featured in Coast Magazine & Vintage Magazine this month!
Our immensely creative hair & make up genius: Rebecca Jones from Becca Jones who joined us all the way from Wales for the shoot. Bex your Jessie Jay look ROCKED Camden Town!
Keeper of all accessories bridal & vintage to add a touch of glamour to your wedding day. Thank you Siu from Liberty in Love for the gorgeous headpieces & jewellery – especially the tea party hair comb – fairy dust for our shoot!
What would a bride be without a bouquet and not just any bouquet – Debbie from DC Bouquets you were an angel for letting us borrow the Gold Tone Waterfall Jewellery Posy, which complemented our vintage dresses beautifully. Brides – if you are looking for something different & sparkly – head over to DC Bouquets for some Jewellery Bouquet inspiration.
Our incredible base for the day and funky location for all the indoor shots – Proud Camden. Big thanks to Edge and the team for letting us run around the gallery and use the stables as our “catwalk”. If you are looking for a good afternoon / evening – head over to Proud Camden for fantastic live music over lunch, followed by drinks into the evening. Definitely the coolest place in Camden Town to be hanging out in! (Situated in the heart of stables market just walking distance from Camden Town & Chalk Farm station.
Lastly to my very helpful assistant for the day – Toshaan, you were a star!
And now, without further ado, feast your eyes on some 1950’s bridal splendour, with a touch of rockstar to end it off!
Thanks for stopping by. Remember to leave some love if you like what you see!
